Here are some examples of fun activities to engage in while playing:
- Play on the playground
- Pull child in a wagon over a bumpy surface
- Pull child while prone on a scooter
- Propel a scooter with feet
- Scooter board relay races
- Trampoline jumping
- Animal walks (crab, bear, frog)
- Red-Light Green-Light with hopping
- Log roll over a large cushion
- Sit on a giant bean bag
- Swing child in a blanket or sheet
- Pull a child while laying or sitting on a sheet
- Explore shaving cream with hands
- Explore dry tactile bins with hands
- Scribble on paper, then draw lines and circular marks
- Puzzles (start with large knobs)
- Read a book while turning pages and pointing to named pictures
- Nest cups or stack rings
- Place large objects into and take objects out of containers
- Place coins into a horizontal, then vertical slotted container
- Stack blocks vertically and imitate block models (train, bridge, wall)
- Snip with scissors or cut a line
- Match memory card pictures
